... was the only person to represent the UK at Eurovision in two consecutive years (Ring–a–Ding Girl in 1962, and Say Wonderful Things in 1963). He finished fourth on both occasions.
His biggest hit was Roses are Red (1962 – after Eurovision and Ring–a–Ding Girl). This reached No. 3 in the UK. At the same time, a version by the American singer Bobby Vinton peaked at No. 16. (Vinton's version reached No. 1 in the USA.)
Say Wonderful Things was another Top Ten hit for Ronnie Carroll in the UK, peaking at No. 6. This was his last hit; Wikipedia attributes his decline to "a lack of good material".
